Oshawa Wedding Photographer: Client Expectation – Part 2

A while back, I explained what my clients can expect of me and my services when they first send an inquiry. That was the first in the series. This week, I will go into a little more about what I like to call the dating part of our relationship.

After our initial meeting and our contract is signed with payment of the deposit, you will receive a copy of an invoice and receipt showing your proof of payment as well as a copy of the contract. At that time we will discuss a few more important meetings:

For my Beauty Portrait Clients: A package is not always determined immediately, so there will be some coaching from me to help you determine the direction to take when selecting your products based on how you intend to use them. This is solely my recommendation. Based on the package you choose, we will discuss a date and time for your in-home wardrobe consultation. This my friends is something I have just decided to offer in my my most popular Beauty Shoot package.  The most common feedback I receive from my clients throughout the consultation and planning process and even the day of the shoot is “I had no idea what to wear so I just brought everything”. And I sense there is a lot of frustration with that process. Why can’t I take the wardrobe guide one step further and  actually help you pick your clothes and accessories before the date? I think it will relieve a great deal of stress and anxiety.

We will also go through a detailed questionnaire that will assist me with planning your shoot according to what you and need out of it.

For my Wedding Clients: You guys are the opposite of Beauty Portrait clients in the sense that a package is usually selected well in advance due to venue rules, timelines and staying witHin or close to a budget. But don’t worry, just because you will usually have selected a package early on, doesn’t mean you won’t receive just as much love and attention from me along with some perks. We will discuss at this time youR engagement session. All of my wedding coverage includes a complimentary engagement session. There are certain aspects that are not included in all my coverage but can always be added on regardless of which package you choose. My favourite type of  engagement session is my Styled Sessions because it really gives me a chance to get to know you. This is where we come up with a vision together as a team. We will attempt to merge aspects of how you first met, your shared rituals and other aspects of what makes you guys YOU. Below is a Pinterest Board that I have started and will be sending to Matt and Alonna, whose engagement session I am shooting this September in Ottawa.

When the planning process has been completed, that means it is time for me to get behind the camera and for you to feel like a SUPERSTAR. Yes, I said superstar and in all caps too.

More on what to expect during your shoot on another day. Stay tuned.
